Description
Banana Peanut Butter Dog Paw Cookies are homemade treats made with dog-safe ingredients like bananas, peanut butter, and oat flour. They're easy, healthy, and perfect for your furry friend.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ripe banana (mashed)
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- Optional: Dog-safe carob chips for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe banana in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the peanut butter, egg, and applesauce until well combined.
- Gradually add the oat flour to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Add more oat flour if the dough feels too sticky.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1-2 tablespoons each) and place them on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly and press a paw print shape into each cookie.
- Optional: Add dog-safe carob chips for decoration.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cookies are firm and golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.
- For crunchier cookies, bake a little longer. For softer cookies, reduce the baking time slightly.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
