Description

Banana & Yogurt Bites for Dogs are a healthy, refreshing homemade treat with simple, dog-safe ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter (optional)
  • Rolled oats or crushed dog biscuits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, bite-sized rounds.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the yogurt with peanut butter until well combined (optional).
  3. Place a banana slice at the bottom of each cavity in a mini muffin tray or silicone mold.
  4. Spoon the yogurt mixture over the banana slices until the cavity is filled.
  5. Sprinkle rolled oats or crushed dog biscuits on top (optional).
  6. Freeze for 2-4 hours or until the bites are fully frozen.
  7. Pop the bites out of the tray and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Use silicone molds for easier removal of frozen bites.
  • Check yogurt ingredients to ensure it is free of added sugars or xylitol.
  • For lactose-intolerant dogs, opt for non-dairy yogurt alternatives.
  • Serve in moderation—one or two bites per day for small dogs, up to three for larger breeds.
