Description

Carrot and Pumpkin Dog Treats are the perfect, healthy snack for your furry friend. Made with wholesome ingredients like pumpkin purée, grated carrots, rolled oats, and an egg, these treats are simple to make and packed with nutrients. No additives, no preservatives—just a nutritious treat that will have your pup begging for more!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin purée (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, grated carrots, rolled oats, and egg. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Scoop portions of the mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and flatten slightly with a spoon. Alternatively, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and use a cookie cutter to create fun shapes.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the treats are firm and lightly golden. If thicker, bake an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Let the treats cool completely on a wire rack before serving them to your pup.

Notes

  • Use pure pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Add a tablespoon of unsweetened peanut butter for extra flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
  • If your dog has an egg allergy, substitute the egg with a tablespoon of mashed banana or unsweetened applesauce.
