Description

Christmas Snowflake Peanut Butter Biscuits for Dogs are festive, crunchy, and made with dog-safe ingredients like peanut butter, oats, and applesauce. A perfect holiday treat for your pup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 23 tablespoons water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the whole wheat flour, oats, and cinnamon together.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the peanut butter, applesauce, and egg. Mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Add water as needed to bring the dough together.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.
  6. Use snowflake cookie cutters to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until golden and firm. Rotate the tray halfway through for even baking.
  8. Let the biscuits cool completely. For extra crunch, leave them in the oven with the door cracked open for 1 hour after baking.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Ensure peanut butter does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
  • Use oat flour as a substitute if your dog is sensitive to wheat.
  • Optional yogurt icing or coconut flour dusting can add a festive touch.
