Dog-friendly cupcakes made with peanut butter and pumpkin. A healthy and delicious treat your pup will love.
Ingredients

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup unsweetened peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour or oat flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce (or Greek yogurt)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda (optional)
- For Frosting: 1/2 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- Optional Decoration: Small dog biscuits, carob chips, or blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, peanut butter, eggs, and applesauce until smooth.
- Gradually add the flour (and baking soda if using) to the wet mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly among the liners, filling them about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool cupcakes in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Mix Greek yogurt and peanut butter to make the frosting.
- Frost cooled cupcakes and decorate with carob chips, blueberries, or small dog biscuits.
Notes
- Ensure peanut butter is xylitol-free.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Freeze cupcakes for up to 2 months and thaw before serving.
- Use oat flour if your dog is sensitive to wheat.
