A homemade golden paste for dogs, rich in anti-inflammatory properties, supporting joint health and overall wellness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup turmeric powder
- 1 cup water (plus extra if needed)
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1 to 1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine turmeric powder and water in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until a thick paste forms (about 7–10 minutes). Add more water if needed.
- Remove from heat and let the paste cool slightly.
- Mix in the coconut oil and freshly ground black pepper until well combined.
- Transfer to a clean, airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- Start with small servings (1/8 teaspoon) and gradually increase.
- Consult with your veterinarian before adding to your dog's diet.
- Keep refrigerated and discard after 2 weeks.
