Description
Peanut Butter Banana Twist Dog Treats combine the goodness of peanut butter and bananas into a delicious, nutritious snack your furry friend will adore.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
- 1 egg (optional, for binding)
- 1–2 tablespoons of water (as needed)
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe banana in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add the natural peanut butter to the mashed banana and blend until well combined.
- Gradually mix in the whole wheat flour (or oat flour) and the egg. Stir until a dough forms. If needed, add water to achieve a soft, pliable consistency.
- Lightly flour a surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into strips and twist each strip gently to form a spiral shape.
- Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and firm.
- Allow the treats to cool completely before serving to your dog.
Notes
- Ensure that the peanut butter is free from xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
- Use oat flour as a gluten-free alternative if needed.
- Adjust baking time for a chewier or crunchier texture.
