Description

Strawberry Banana Coconut Bites for Dogs are the perfect homemade treat for your furry friend! Your dog will love these chewy, fruity snacks, and you’ll love how simple they are to prepare. Try them today and give your pup a treat that’s as nutritious as it is delicious!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour (optional, for binding)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1/4 cup water (or as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, chopped strawberries, shredded coconut, and coconut flour (if using).
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined. If the mixture is too dry, add water, one tablespoon at a time, until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  4. If using honey, mix it into the dough at this point.
  5. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, portion out small bite-sized pieces onto the prepared baking sheet. Shape them into balls or flatten slightly.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bites are firm to the touch and lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage.

Notes

  • Substitutions: You can use oat flour instead of coconut flour, or substitute blueberries for strawberries.
  • Add-ins: A spoonful of pumpkin puree or a dash of cinnamon can add extra flavor and nutritional benefits.
  • Storage: These treats are best enjoyed fresh. Make small batches and store them properly to maintain freshness.
